SteamDB is an unofficial site that keeps track of changes and sales that take place on the Steam system and records them, as well as other miscellaneous related things.

Operates on donations to cover server costs, which currently show no sign of slowing. In 2023, the owner said[IA•Wcite•.today•MemWeb] that it costs less than $100 a month to run.
Site disallows scraping and doesn't provide an API or data dumps - they say this is because most of the data can be obtained through the use of Steam APIs. But much of the most useful data isn't obtainable via the Steam APIs, e.g. historical data and data obtained through crowdsourcing. They don't appear to want to explain this. Its also unclear if their tools on github can be used as-is to replicate their database from what can be obtained via Steam APIs.
