Currently, the group consists of a few hundred people on a mailing list, where blasts out to the group will happen going forward. Archive Corps is a loose collection of volunteers, experts and bystanders dedicated to rescuing physical collections of materials worldwide that are at risk of loss and destruction. Utilizing on-line communication and resources, the group will attempt to be a nimble and reactive force when a collection, otherwise unwieldy or hard to move, is descended upon and rescued in a short time.
Currently, the group consists of a few hundred people on a mailing list, where blasts out to the group will happen going forward. Eventually, it is likely to expand to other approaches, while hopefully not losing the core goal of large-scale assembly of volunteers dedicated to sane, timely, comprehensive rescue.
