Jux is a creative blogging platform that will shut down on August 31, 2013.

Shutdown notice

Short version:

With humble apologies, Jux will shut down on August 31, 2013.

Until then, Jux is closed to new members.

You may download your work or read more details.

Long version:

Your work has brought meaning to us, to millions of others, and

hopefully to you. By providing a creative layer on top of words and

images, Jux has helped you build narratives, hold attention, and

connect people.

Unfortunately, Jux has not grown fast or large enough to attract

further investment. The service will close on August 31, 2013. Until

then, you may retrieve your work.

We apologize for the mammoth inconvenience and trust your stories

will continue.

Backing up

According to Jux, going to "https://USERNAME.jux.com/!/mystuff" (when logged in) will allow you to backup your data. You can also backup some data using JSON as described here.

A complete list of blogs hasn't been made yet, searching "site:jux.com" on Google might help.

• All the images seem to be stored on Amazon CloudFront, so they might still be up after the site's shutdown.

TODO: A script for easily backing up all the blogs would help with archiving Jux before it shuts down.

• Someone should do a quick grab of their Facebook and Twitter accounts.
