MediaCrush was a media hosting service. The website accepted many types of files, including images, video, and audio. MediaCrush also converted GIFs into MP4s, resulting in smaller files and thus faster download times.
On January 28th, 2015, MediaCrush announced it was shutting down and would no longer accept uploads.[1]
