MegaSWF was a media file hoster that started off as ShockWave Flash (swf file) hoster, similar to Newgrounds years earlier.

MegaSWF was a big repository of amateur-made minigames, fangames and flash files that Newgrounds does not have. Like on Newgrounds, SWF files could be played back (previewed) on the site and downloaded. MegaSWF later turned into an universal file host (also used for EXE, AVI, WMV, MP4), but still focussed on SWF minigames.

MegaSWF escaped the radar of ArchiveTeam entirely and perished in silence.[1]
