SpielAffe (German for "game monkey") is an online video game repository based in Germany. Originally, it hosted flash games.
Game titles are translated and retitled to be more understandable to a young German audience. For example, the game "Monster Truck Curfew" was renamed to "Trick Truck 2", and "Playing with fire 2" to "Blauer Bomber 2". The original name can be seen in the description section below the game.[1][2]
Purges
In May 2012, all Super Mario related content was deleted from SpielAffe.[3]
Adobe Flash was deprecated at the beginning of 2021. Around that time, flash games were purged from the site. Some former flash games are served through an emulator.[2] Prior to the purge, SpielAffe claimed it hosted over 12 thousand games.[4]
